Massimo Lagostina (Emilio’s nephew) joined the company in 1929. He was the first person to realize the potential of stainless steel.
After many attempts, the first stainless steel saucepans left the factory in 1933.
This new material enabled Lagostina to express emotions, translating its culture into elegant, high-quality cookware.
In 1934, Lagostina launched the Casa Mia range. Its design was such a success that it is still on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
